Image 66 features the works of Japanese artist, Terumi Shimizu in commemoration of the1995 Kobe earth quake that caused the death of 6,000 people. Also featured are works by Aboriginal Australian artists that were that hung on the walls of a local parish in Australia. These images helped expose the congregation to other cultures.

On the cover is Frank Wesley’s “Promise of Peace”. Frank Wesley is an Indian artist who was based in Australia. His work was based from Isaiah’s vision of the peaceful kingdom. (Isaiah 11:1-9)

This issue of Image features sculptures by Filipino National Artist, Napoleon Abueva in his Temple of the Child Jesus. Also in this issue are works by other Filipino artists and members of the Korean Association of Christian Artists.

Image 68 features Thangka Art by Nepalese artist, Lawrence Sinha. Thangka is a classical art form from Tibet commonly used to illuminate Buddhist text. The artist utilized its form in narrating Biblical events. Also in this issue are different interpretations of sisters “Mary and Martha”.

On the cover is a painting of an oikumene boat made by artist Mehm Than Oo for the Council of Churches in Myanmar.
